Same here . The wipers stand up when turned off.

If I play with the mist switch on the column stalk I can get them to sit down where they belong but it takes about 3 or 4 minutes of playing with the switch.

Hi,
Sounds like you have no permanent live to wiper motor.
You need this to make the wipers park when you switch them off.
They are swithed off using a switch inside the motor itself.
To check.. Disconnect plug supplying power to motor one wire should be battery voltage with ignition on and wiper switch off.
If yes....Motor probably shot.
If no... You need a wiring diagram to determine where the permanent feed comes from.

Drivers windshield wiper not working

Common problem is that the nut holding the arm on has loosened. Right at the pivot point on the arm is a nut underneath a pop off cover. You should be able to take that off. Tap the arm down far enough to grab the post again and tighten the nut. The only thing that would stand in your way is if the arm connection or the post is stripped in which case you will have to replace the wiper arm, the wiper mechanism, or both.

Front wipers arms going extreamly slow and you can hear the wiper motor maybe a fuse ?

the wiper motor could be the problem. could also be the mechanism
needs a lube or replacing. also, lift the wiper arms off the glass so they stand up then switch on wipers. if goes right , the motor is being overloaded. if still slow, the motor needs replacing.

I have a 1997 Grand Prix GTP and my windshield wipers won't work

The wiper arms are a "friction fit" on the wiper linkage studs.
Remove the cap from the end of each wiper arm, remove the retaining nut, carefully pry the wiper arm off of the stud. Clean out the inside of the arm hole and also clean up the stud. Position the arm back in to proper place on the wiper arm "park" stands and the linkage stud. Put the nut back on the stud and tighten down.
This should solve your problem.

My front wipers stand straight up when turned off,is it the wiper motor or something else?

Its just the wiper motor if your using your wiper and you want to turn off the wiper wait until the wiper go back to its original position then turn off the wiper as fast as you can so it will not stand out when you turn it off or you can replace the motor of the wiper.

Wind shield wiper

Check to see if the stud that they sit on is not spinning . Make shure that they are tight. Start by parking your wipers. then loosten the wipers and put them back on where they should be parked and tighten them up this should fix the problem . If not you may need to buy new motor unfortunatel. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer. thanks.

1996 Acura 3.2 TL windshield wiper problem

they have what one guy, I know called a small "transmision" that engages both wipers and the speed. On one car the winshield wipers transmission connections were loose. A small bolt came off.
Check all the workings by running the wipers .
Try to get to the wiper motor assembly and take a look at it. You may have to remove some screws.

Wipers don't work

I would suspect they don't have the connector to the switch plugged all the way in, take it back and make them fix it, they created the problem, stand your ground on this one, heater core jobs cost big bucks!
