It sounds like your linkage is out of adjustment....When you place it in park it is not fully disengaged from reverse...This is a common reaccuring problem with GMC/Chevy......Good Luck

Is the clutch the problem? My 1993 gmc pickup with the engine running I can shift to any gear without engaging the clutch ?it does not grind or try to move.

Sounds as if the clutch is no good or is engaged constantly. Possible clutch worn out or throwout bearing is seized on input shaft

How do I align headlights on 91 GMC Sierra Truck

As with most all vehicles, there are small set screw around headlight bezel. One or two on top of core support and often one on each side of headlight. Myself usually wait til dusk or darker park on a flat surface and align beam on a wall having vehicle approx. 6 ft. back.

1989 gmc 2500 hd keeps locking up when put in park have to rock the vehicle and it will shift out of park

The best way to help in this is set the ebrake everytime you stop before letting your foot off the brake. It sounds like the pawl in the transmission that sets when you put the vehicle in park to keep the internals in the transmission from moving, has excess pressure on it. Possibly due to parking on an incline. Make sure your rear brakes are adjusted up properly so when you set the ebrake it will keep the vehicle from rolling and putting excess pressure on the pawl. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

GMC Sierra...grinds while turning key.

teeth could be broke off the fly wheel...the fly wheel is what the starter engages with to turn the engine over,,,it looks like a big gear with lots of teeth....check the starter first and see if it is fully engaging.....tap with a hammer while turning the key..sometimes this will release it..thank you and have a great day

1999 Gmc Sierra has no power

Sounds like the fuel supply is inadequate. Check for a plugged fuel filter, or possibly the fuel pump is losing pressure. I had a 93 Chevy V6 that acted the same way, and after checking everything else I replaced the fuel pump, which solved the problem.
