May be you should go for genuine lamps from the compan y and that too of same voltage.. check if you are puttig bulbs of lower voltage and bulbs getting blown up.. if it is not so then get your induction coil checked..may be its producing more current than required and blowing up the lamps.. i hope this will help you out.. belated Merry X-mas and Happy New Year :)

Headlight is out..put new bulb in and checked fuses,,,

Is the ground at the headlight good? Did you use a meter to check the connector for 12 volts or just assume? It could be that you just have a bad headlamp socket.

I have a 97 Nissan Sentra. It had a bad battery and i have replaced it but since nothing interior wise works...no turn signals, no windows, no heat, no radio. I thought it was a fuse and I replaced it(7.5...

try the fusible link in the fuse box under the hood. very same thing happened to my sentra. of course you'll have to go to a dealer to get the new fusible link, but hey it was only like ten or twenty bucks. You should be able to tell if one is bad because they have little clear lids on them. If the wires inside are burnt or not connecting, you need a new one. Hope this helps. Good luck!

My right headlight does not work

well it might be your light bulb socket ud have to look inside there for corrosion and see how the teminals are for where the light bulb plugs in it it looks fine then it also could be the wiring has a short in it

05 altima 3.5 r/f headlight does not work replaced

There should be a main fuse box under the hood. The headlights have a main fuse for each side. There should be one for the left and right headlamp. Check the fuse for the r/f headlamp. If it is blown, then that is the cause for the headlamp not to work. Replace with a new fuse and it should be good to go. If not, check the bulb itself.

I have a 1998 nissan sentra that came with the original head lamp. i am trying to install a projector light on it. and the wiring is not the same. any idea how to get it done

Sounds like you will need to purchase an adapter/conversion kit from an auto parts store. This is usually the case when installing certain types of after market lighting... you could possibly also need a ballast type kit for these lights

Headlamp replacement How do you get the old bulb out?

According to Nissan PDFs on line, it seems pretty straight forward, although it seems pretty cramped around the headlight assemblies (go figure...) For the driver's side, it recommends removing the battery to make some room in the 2004 book (I would agree, after seeing mine). For all, it recommends at least removing the negative battery cable.
It states several times NOT TO TOUCH THE BULB. The grease from your fingers will reduce the life of the bulb, if not damage it immediately.

I pasted the links for the PDFs below- one for the 2002 and one for the 2004. I can't wait to tackle mine in -20 weather.
Oh yeah- you will have to re-program your radio after disconnecting the battery.
Update: (Dec. 29/07) I changed mine today, and it was very easy.
1. Remove battery for driver's side bulb.
2. Unplug electrical connection to bulb. There is a locking clip that you depress with your thumb to unlock the connection to the bulb casing.
3. Turn the locking collar counterclockwise to unlock, and remove.
4. Remove dead bulb.
5. After comparing the bulbs to make sure they match, holding the new bulb by the plastic casing at the rear, insert the new bulb making sure the notches seat into the seating tabs. Remember- DON'T TOUCH THE BULB!
6. Re-install the locking collar clockwise, and the electrical connection plug.
7. Re-install the battery for driver's side installation. (Might be a good time to clean the posts if they are corroded.)
8. Test the bulb. Re-set your clock and re-tune the radio.

UPDATE- with small enough hands, you do not have to disconnect the battery. This is a wasted step.
ANOTHER UPDATE: I just used these instructions, and they were very good, but for older Sentras it's a little different.

On a 1996 there is no "clicking" mechanism to turn counter clockwise. Instead there is a wire holder keeping the bulb in place. You have to remove the wire holder, and then you can pull out the bulb in its holder. On the holder there was a plastic piece marked "press here" which when pressed, allows you to pull the old bulb out of the holder.

Hope helped (remember rated this help).

should just be the bulb. Open you hood and look on the back of the head light. should be wires going into the housing. Grab the fitting the wires are going through and turn, then pull out the bulb
