Question about 2000 Pontiac Sunfire
I have a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire. One month after I bought it (used) the passenger side rear turn signal went out. I replaced it. It worked for about 3 weeks. I replaced it again. Then the driver side rear turn signal went out. Since then they have both worked for short periods of time. Sometimes they will begin working on their own (without being replaced). My husband has checked several things. "As far as the car goes I've tried checking the flasher unit, the bulbs on both sides and the brake switch. Everything always checks fine." This is what he told me when I asked what he had ruled out. I have no rear brake light (except the spoiler one) and no turn signals, the hazards also don't work. I replaced the bulbs again today at the request of the local police department. The driver's side didn't work at all and the passenger side worked for two blocks. Any ideas? I've been informed they do not want to see my car again until it's fixed. I'm assuming that since it's sporatic it's probably not a fuse. My husband has been unable to locate a short.
Heyii lady i am not so sure in this case but if it is not a short then may be your induction coil is producing more crrent than required.. so get your coil checked.. or this time..if u have not been then put genuine compant lamps.. i hope this will help you out.. belated Merry X-mas and Happy New Year :)
