Engine not pulling, noise from engine

2005 Mazda 6s Hatchback

So I got this car at 53011 and while I was driving it back, the engine never seemed to pull. On top of that 100 miles later a noise came from the engine. Im hoping its my belt, but I dunno. The guy i bought it from said that he hadnt driven the car for 8 months because he was always on the move. Any idea. whats wrong?

2006 mazda 6s 3.0 v6. I have a check engine light for Low Barometric pressure. what could cause this issue and what could it affect? also tcs is disabled and i assume it is because of this code

It would be helpful if you included the code you read on the scanner, rather than an abbreviated interpretation of what the scanner gave you. For instance, P0107 means "Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input". This indicates that the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor is providing a signal not in agreement with what other sensors are 'telling' the ECM. The MAP sensor is like a vacuum gauge - it is located somewhere in the intake manifold or intake plenum and reports how 'hard' the engine is working to the ECM. These codes indicate there is a problem with the MAP sensor itself or with the wiring between the sensor and the ECM. Double check all the connectors that you disconnected when replacing the valve cover gaskets. As this problem only showed up after you did this work, it's probably a loose connection or pinched wire.

Check Engine Light comes on and off

head lights have nothing to do with check engine light.modifying exhaust if it has an EGR valve does turn the light on under acceleration.best is to not shut off the engine and read the code.

Loud Vibration / Sound Under Acceleration And Starting Engine.

Get the engine mounts checked. A bad mount may allow part of the engine to lie on a body or frame part, allowing engine vibrations to become very loud. Torquing of the engine (under load) can cause the same type problems.
