Question about 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier

How do you remove the tail light on a 2000 Chevy Cavalier?

I busted one of my tail lights and need to know how to remove it in order to replace it with a new one. Does anyone have instructions on how to do this? Or know where I can find some instructions? I looked online a bit and have had no luck. Thanks!

My tail lights and dash lights in a 2003 Chevy Cavalier don't work but brake lights, turn signals, head lights (high and low beams) work. The fuse wasn't blown but replaced it any way. The fillaments in...

Hi, did you check the fuse labeled EXT LP. If that is not the problem, you will likely need a new headlamp switch. A new switch is $47 at autozone. To replace the switch, first unscrew and remove the clamshell covers from the steering column. Then unscrew and remove the switch from the steering column. Screw the new switch in and replace the clamshells. Let us know if you have more questions and thanks for using FixYa.

My high beem light, airbag, service, abs, check gauges, all lights.my odometer doesnt illuminate . 2000 chevy cavalier. but car runs fine

I would recommend having the fuses checked and the electrical system reset by removing the negative terminal and replacing it.
otherwise it may be the control module or ccomputer that needs to be checked.

I would like more clarification on this.

Thank you

Rear tail light lens removal I need to replace the brake light bulb, but I do not see a way to remove the lens cover. I do not want to bust the one I have in order to fix the problem

Hello riggs791. My name is Roger and I will help you. Raise the lift gate. In the rain drip rail you will find two screws through the lens to the body. Remove the two screws. Carefully pull on the lens. What you are removing to get to the tail lamp bulb is the entire lamp. The front outside edge of the lens has two lock in clips. Once you have the lamp loose turn it over and unlock the socket and replace the light. Reverse to reinstall the lamp.
Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the quality of your answer. This way we know the answer helped. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
