Question about 1995 Honda Passport

1 Answer

Battery problems??? 1995 honda passport 6 cyl. 4wd has been sitting in the garage for a while. Once I jump off the battery and run it for a while, then turn it off, it will not recrank. Battery is fairly new. Besides the alternator, what am I looking at, problem wise. Also, the airbag light is staying on now when running.

Suggest you check the connections on the battery... if corrosion, then remove the cables and clean with soda water then scape or sand with course sandpaper and replace with some grease or anti corrosion electical connector paste then recharge and you will be set... if not ck other connections around the fuse box etc. good luck

P/s second thought, if not the corrosion, place the battery on slow charge for 24 hrs.

My 98 Honda Passport stalls everytime I park the car. I get a jump, it drives fine and then stalls once I stop the car.

How long is it since you replaced the car battery ? If the battery is old it can not store the full voltage any more, the problem is made worse in cold weather. If you have had the battery more than 3 years, and you have this problem, it is definitely time to buy a new battery.

Pleaser tell me where are the timing marks for my 1995 honda passport

if you have the 4 cyl they are located on the belt cover and the mark is on the drive pully, if you have a 6 cyl. the marks are on the block behind the belt cover, but the timing is set at TDC and is not adjustable.

Speedometer doesn't work on a 1997 honda passport 6 cyl.

It probably uses a sensor instead of a cable to register speed. Realistically speaking the vehicle needs to go to a qualified repair shop with the proper diagnostic tool to determine what component is not functioning. Perhaps you can buy and install the part yourself. Most vehicles need to be diagnosed on an electronic tester.
