03 gmc Sierra 2500hd 6.0L, normal driving kind of sluggish, but when towing u have to keep it floored to make it up any hills. No check engine light had exhaust and ****** checked out they were fine.

I have found that when you are going to engauge 4x4 high, it is best to only be going about 3 miles an hour. Not faster, not stopped. It likes some movement to help it mesh. I've had perfect shifts since I started this. Hope it helps. Wade.

I have found that on three silverado's there is a plastic clamp on the bottom side of steering column where the wires become broken and can short out. You have to remove the column covers to see this, it should be claser to the lowe dash trim panel area needs a shifter to repair unless you can fix that little wire!
