I fixed mine by cleaning the throttle body.  Just take the hose off of it, spray some throttle body cleaner in there, and wipe it out with a VERY clean cloth.  Then replace hose.  Piece of cake.

Both left and right rear brake lights not working including led stop light indicator. Fuses in engine compt all okay.

look on th eback of the brake pedal and you will find the brake switch wiggle it to see if it's loose if it is you will have to replace the switch, costs about $10.00 and does not take special tools to remove.

When engine is cold neutral and drive light keeps blinking

Go and have the battery tested. The first post is correct but a low battery voltage (caused when cold) will definately contribute to problems with the transmission and if you miss even a few shifts with the F4A51 transmission, you will break the wave spring.

1998Mitsubishi Diamante keeps stalling when you stop

I have a 1997 Diamante has the same symptoms after the battery went flat. The automatic transmission serviceman said it was the computer controlling the transmission loosing it's program and had to re-train itself. He said there was a procedure for defaulting the computer but is was easier just to drive the car and it would fix itself.
My experience after owning the car for a number of years and several flat batteries is it fixes itself after about 1000 kilometers

93 mitsubishi diamante oil light comes on and off when i stop

park your car facing down on a slope/hill, if the light goes on...you need to check your oil level and fill it probably.
If the light doesnt go on, the reason it lights up is the braking move, and it's probably a loose wire which makes contact when braking.
