Question about 2002 Jaguar X-Type
This is the second time once we can free what ever it is it clicks and hums the last time it started after 15 mins this time it will not start the lights and radio work
It possibly could be the nuetral safety switch. somewhere along the drive train there is a switch that detects if the car is gear (automatic trans) or if the clutch is depressed (manual). the switch if on a manual trans would be along the clutch pedal towards the top of the lever above the fulcrom. when depressed (off) the clutch is not depressed when fully extended (on) it is allows the starter to turn over the car.
if you can find the switch you can short the wires and it will think it is ok toi start car (even while in gear so be carefull).
