SOURCE: My gas door is locked and won't open on my 2001

Inside the truck behind the trim is a manual release for the gas door, the release looks like the head of a large key on a small wire string. It is marked.

Vauxhall insignia 62 plate fuel cap won’t open. Can’t locate emergency release in boot. Tried unlocking with key etc but nothing is working. Any ideas?

On the insignia you cant get to the rear of the fuel cap from the boot. Remove the rear wheel (use an axle stand to support the car please), take out the wheel arch liner (just a few screws). Take out the solenoid that operates the lock on the fuel cap cover (you may have to push it in and wiggle it, theres a hook that connects to the flap you'll have to wiggle out). Flap will be free. Clean around where the arm enters the solenoid in case theres a piece of grit stopping the arm from moving (unlikely, but...). Connect the solenoid to the loose wiring of the solenoid thats now hanging there and lock/unlock the car a few times to see if the arm is moving. If it doesnt move, the solenoid has gone, change it. If your not bothered to lock your cap you can leave the solenoid off !

2004 Volvo XC70 won't unlock

Put a battery charger on the starter cable from
under the car & ground the black charger lead
That will charge it enough to open the door & hood
Thought every car has at least one key cylinder on
drivers door !!

My 1997 vw polo classic 18i's doors wont open,it works on central locking with air,i cant manually pull the door knobs up but my boot and petrol cap wont open, ive disconnected the little pipe of the...

The air powered centrol locking is a pain, not the least because of the high cost of a replacement circuit board.

I can't quite remember how I overcame the problem. I think I applied either pressure or suction to the air pipe to unlock everything and then once everything was unlocked I was able to manually lock and unlock each door and in this case the boot lid. The fuel flap was left unlocked without problems.

My 2008 XC70 won't start. I changed the battery and it still won't start. What could be wrong?

it could be any thing , start with fuel , make sure there is fuel in the car , then if you have a jumper cable , conected to other car and see if it start , if not then go and check the fuese like fuel pump relay , starter relay ..etc ...dose your car crank when you started or it totally dead like no sound ??

2008 vw Passat fuel cap won't open

Video isn't working. Check in your owners manual, you might have a lever inside the trunk or area really close to the door.

My 1998 jeep cheorkee engine turns but won't crank, could it be the computer or what?

it's highly unlikely, there are only two things that can make this happen, not getting fuel (fuel pump failure, fuel pump regulator) or not getting ignition (bad coils, ignition module failure, bad distributor, distributor cap, rotor)

Petrol Fuel Cap door won't open

I had the same problem. Pressing the fuel door unlock button did not work, and I couldn't find any emergency release in the cargo/trunk area. Eventually, I clicked the Lock / Unlock button on the key fob a couple of times and tried again, this time holding the fuel door release button for 1-2 seconds, and it worked. I then sprayed some door lock lubricant into the fuel door lock in case there was something sticking in the mechanism. Don't know if this truly "fixed" the problem, but it's working now.
