Yeah I have a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo LS and started having this problem last year. My cousin is a mechanic so I had him hook it up to the machine and it turns out I had 4 bad ignition coils out of a total of 6. Sounds like this may be your problem too but I would take it in to a mechanic to be certain.

You are having the same problems i'm having, there could be numerous of problem starting from the crankshaft position sensor, o2 sensor, a bad ignition coil. don't make the same mistake i did guessing what is wrong by buying parts here and there. Please TAKE IT TO THE DEALER! let them scan it only telling you what is giving you problems

I just bought a used 2002 Isuzu Rodeo and after only two weeks the car is not going into gear when I take off from a stop. And to top it off, it died today after coming to a stop at red light. The check...

there is obviously a problem with the transmission and I would have it checked out by transmission specialist as soon as possible. It is possible to cause even further damage if you continue to use the vehicle. That will of course increase your repair bill.

I drive a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo, 2.2L, 4 Cylinder engine. Sometimes when I'm driving the car slips out of gear! I press on the excellorator and all it does is revs.

My 2000 did this just before the transmission went out completely. It's been some time, and I've come to the conclusion that the ABS pump puts pressure against the transmission when the computer fails on it (this pump). My new transmission was laggy/slippy until I pulled the ABS fuse just to check this theory, and viola! Torque I hadn't felt in 4 years. If your ABS light is on, and has been on for some time, this may be the case. I would take it to the nearest shop and have the ABS pump checked.

2001 Isuzu Rodeo 4WD. CHeck Engine light on and

After market spark plugs could be the problem.
Reinstall the old plugs and see if that fixes it.
This vehicle has an ion sensing ignition system and is real sensitive to the proper spark plugs. I would get the proper plugs from the dealer if the old ones work.
The codes P1311 and P1312 are ion sensing codes.

Holden Rodeo 2001, check engine light keeps coming on!?

I'm having same problem on my 2000 model rodeo 4wd 3.2L V6. Other day check engine light came on. I checked engine bay nothing abnormal, or power loss. Next day light was gone. 2 days later driving, a sudden loss of power and light came up. After idling for a couple of minutes, drove off with light still on but all power back. 1 hour later of faultless driving loss of power for a minute or so. Engine temp normal. Had break for 1/2 hour and set off for last hour of journey without fault except check engine light still on. Following dayon startup light went out???
