Question about 2003 Land Rover Freelander
My boss' Freelander stalled with a no re start and left him in the cold. We towed it to the shop and I pulled a fuel line from the fuel rail feed and had no fuel upon turning the engine over. I checked all the fuses labeled FUEL and swapped the fuel relay with anonther relay next to it. Still no start, no fuel. I found the fuel pump access door, openned it, and can not hear the pump start. What would be my next steps of troubleshooting this problem? I can not go pay $680 for a fuel pump to shotgun troublehoot this vehicle. Please help!! Thank you...........Gary
Make sure that your inertia swicth is not tripped. The Inertia switch is installed to make sure the fuel supply is cut off in case of acident or if you have a heavy vibration. Just look for it and reset it by pressing it down. It is located under the hood on the driver side by the fire wall. close to the brake booster. Hope this help.
