1996 bmw z3 automatiuc transmission. It feels like my drivwe shaft is rumbling where it meets my diferential. Only when I accelerate quickly from a stop.

the rear universal is probably gone bad at rear of drive shaft. does it clunk when shifting from park into drive, get under vehicle, when it is turned off. you can leave it in park. grab drive shaft and see if you can wiggle it. if so its the universal joint on drive shaft.put on e-brake before getting under it. if it is bad, its best to change both front and back universals. Good-day!

the drive shaft coupling is worn thats all its not a major problem just annoying i know but it is safe to drive and can go on for many a mile yet before you have to change it ,only when its noisy on the straight do you bother ,make sure the rubber boot is in place and not throwing the grease out if so replace the rubber and while the shaft is off take the balls out and wash in diesel thenput it back together ,grease up and refit

On my dashboard the abs, handbrake and service light are constantly on will not go off.

Hi
You need to have a diagnostic scan carried out to read the relative fault code, which will give you an idea of what is needed. Clio common for split ABS ring on front driveshafts. Scan at a good local garage should be around £30- 40 ish

The drlive line goes into what part

The Drive Line is a general term that describes a variety of parts ...

Power starts with the engine ... power is transferred from the engine fly wheel through a clutch to the transmission ... through a series of gears to the 'tail shaft', the output of the transmission. The drive shaft inserts into the splines of the tail shaft. The shaft connects to the rear end where the power is divided between the rear tires through through a diferential. The axels connect to the diferential and deliver power to the hub towhich the tire is attached..

that is unless your car happens to be a front wheel drive ... which I dont think yours is.
