Question about 2006 Chevrolet Colorado

Hooking up to Radio Aux

I want to hook up an aftermarket sat radio to my 2006 Colorado (stadard radio) and wanted to know how to reach the aux input for it.

My concern is the same. Except: I have an '06 Isuzu I-280 (same truck though). I want to hook up an ipod through the Aux (there's a button on the head unit that says Aux) but I don't know how to get to the input. I'm not sure if there's a false button or what?

    Can someone help?

Go to coloradofans.com or purchase a pac-oem and an ab-gm12 connector if you have a rfd model radio (displays song and artist on radio) or you could purchase an expensive kit from bestbuy. I have an Isuzu i-350, always refer to it as a colorado when looking for these parts.

My radio has an aux button, but no aux jack, is one hidden somewhere for use in different model style, ie sle, lx

if you have aux button there is a plug wire that mite be in the dash of the car, you could go to the radio manufacture website see if you can find the users manual, or installation guide, operational manual, the aux mite be a wifi option on other device of similar radio, that radio may have many versions and the version you got does not have that option with the cheaper version of radio that was installed when the car was made.
go to manufactures website, service, make, model,
it may need drivers to run the aux.

cheap is an FM adapter but they are horrible bat sound quality
the best way is using a Dodge aux input adapter , they cost that much because there is a lot of electronics involve inside this box, the interface tricks the radio to open the external CD changer port you can buy the interface from here use Summer coupon for %10 off

My radio has an aux button. Does this allow me to hook a sat radio to it. If so how?

Auxis for an auxilurary input, if there is a jack on the radio compatable with your satelite unit it would let you hok it in.

How to you enable aux input on a 2006 trailblazer cd player, i have an aftermarket adapter for a mp3 player? Peripheral PXDX PXHGM3 rca/3.5mm audio adapter.

That interface most likely is not going to work, because it is not compatible with all the gm radios, don't work good with XM and rear video system,
the problem is the wiring and the software on the interface,

the PIE GM12-AUX v2 works with all the radios in gm vehicles,
radio needs to have a BAND button and CD/AUX

Upgrading 2006 Mercury Milan's sound system with MP3 jack.

Even though your current radio has an AUX button the radio is not programmed to utilize it.
There is no 'easy' way to add the '07 Job 2 and later year model's factory Aux input.
You will need to buy an aftermarket solution. Something like this http://pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=821&CategoryID=24

Aux input location

Though I'm sure there is an AUX button on the radio, there isn't actually an auxillary port on a 2007 Grand Prix stock radio.I'm sorry to say, but you would have to get an aftermarket radio.

Pontiac G6 radio change problem

Radios are programmed to the vehicle and sometimes they won't reprogram into another vehicle. All you can do is have the dealer try to unlock it, but most won't because of radio theft. They need verification of where the radio came from. E-Bay stuff may or may not be stolen.
