HI I HAVE 92 HONDA CIVIC WITH STARTING PROBLEMS, I HAVE SPARK, GOOD FUEL PRESSURE, BUT CHECK ENGINE LITE STAYS ON WITH THE SWICHT ON,INJECTOR PULSE INTERMITENT, I CHECKED VOLTAGE ON MAP SENSOR CONNECTOR SOMETIMES GIVE 5 VOLTS SOMETIMES NOTHING, REPLACED MAIN RELAY, I CAN HEAR FUEL PUMP WORKING. SO I REPLACED THE ECM FROM HONDA DEL SOL SAME YEAR. FINALLY STARTED AND RUNS FINE. BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LITE CAME ON WHILE WAS RUNNING. TRIED COUPLE TIMES AND RUNS GREAT, UNTIL I TURNED OFF AND I TURNED BACK ON AND IT DIDN'T START AGAIN, WHAT ELSE COULD BE THE PROBLEM? ARE THIS ECM ARE DIFFERENT? BOTH WERE AUTOMATIC. PLEASE I'M REALLY FRUSTRATED.

well not completely sure but would suggest first giving it a shot of ether in the airbox to see if starts better. to rule out a fuel issue. then ck into distributor. have you ck'd it for spark? is it weak? is it possible the timing belt jumped time?
Next things to check are fuel and spark, remove a spark plug and with the wire attached crank the motor, if you see spark in the plug then it's not a spark issue and probably a fuel problem. If there is no spark could be bad plugs or wires, or distrubitor cap. To check fuel remove injector cover and crank motor, if there is no fuel coming out then check fuel filter, fuel pump.
