SOURCE: cavalier dies

you need to find the fuel pressure release around the fuel rail press the little tab when the car dies. If there is no fuel coming out from that point, your fuel pump is going.

SOURCE: How do you change the headlight for a 2001 chevy cavalier

i actually just did this a couple days ago, this takes about 20 minutes and a little bit of patience. When you pop your hood you will see a protective piece of plastic over the headlights/radiator, you firstly have to remove the plastic clips holding that piece then pull that piece of plastic off, once done u will see 2 bolts holding each headlight in place, i believe it is a 9/16 socket but if not just find the one that fits, remove the 4 bolts (2 for each headlight) and pull the headlight in an up and outwards manor. if you feel any resistance do not yank look at why it is catching and clear it, then it should just pop out (the headlight and the corner piece and clipped together so dont pull it too far out) then when the bulb is accessible pull the old bulb, put the new bulb in and voila place the headlight back into position, redo the 4 bolts holding the headlights and re-attach the plastic headlight/radiator cover. Enjoy the new lights

If no screws or nuts holding it that you can see from outside, then just use a screwdriver or something and pry at the base where it is against metal.

2001 Chevy Cavalier dies while driving, but will restart

Does it cut off quick or losses power first ? If it is quick then i would look at some thing in the ignition starting with crank sensor then dis./co Mogul /coil pack if cant find problem there then test fuel pump pressure using proper gage,if still cant find have scanned,I have heard Autozone does this for free in some parts of the country saving you about 85$ Hope this is some help ,feel free to check back here , let us know how we are doing , Thank you.

I have 2005 chevy cavalier that stalls .

Check to see if you emission system sensors are plugged in, such as the air intake sensor which is plugged into the air hose at the front of the engine. Another possibility is your gas cap. Replace it, its very cheap. If it only occurs at higher speeds it may be clogged injectors. Dump a bottle or two of injector cleaner into the gasoline tank after a fill-up. You might also try some octane booster which is methanol and will mix with and help remove any water in your fuel tank.
