Re: 2003 FORD TAURUS - 2 OF 4 POWER WINDOWS WON'T WORK
Your car battery may be at fault. My brother's 10 year old Mercury
had problems with air conditioning in auto mode, headlights were
dim,and door locks were mostly inop.
Problems cleared up after new battery was installed.

Put some silicone spray or dry lube in the window frame where the glass runs and this will free up the window and take the load off the motor.
All "Henry"window winder switches are a problem they don't last lone at all. I have replaced my Ford winder switches about every 18months to 2 years. They are a money maker for Ford Motor Coy
The windows and power locks are controlled through a central computer module called the Generic electronic module, you must have this module scanned by the dealer (or a well equipped shop with a Ford compatible scanner) to see what is wrong with the system.
First Checkup the power window fuses. If they are good, check the wiring lines whether the power supply is available for all the windows. If you have problem in power supply approach to nearest garage / dealer
should be a fuse in engine compartment drivers side black box and there will be fuses for each sep. window.chech the fuse-under box cover the fuses are labled.if fuse good may have bad switch-check <remove switch from panel after removing panel.check with key on for power at switch if power is good press switch chech power on motor by removing wire connector and test with light/meter at connector.if power good motor bad>hint motors are interchangable so you can use rear drivers motor for example before you buy anouther motor.i have 4 good ones if you need :-> firstname.lastname@example.org
Do the windows not work only from drivers door switch, or the doors themselves?
If from drivers side switch, then you need to replace the window switch or maybe some of the wires came loose. If the windows arent working individually, you have short somewhere, or all your motors went out, which I doubt.
if window wont work with either switch the 1 on the drivers main switch or the one on rear door it may just be stuck on weather stripping and may need help down with door open have someone press switch and w/ door open put hand on inside and out of glass pushing down if it starts working agian spray weather strip with silicone spray if it does not work need to test motor to see if its getting batt voltage if not its switch if it is u need new motor
