low beam not going on both

  • Anonymous Mar 30, 2014

It sounds like the air pump or something runs on/off with ignition off for hours at a time. This last time it drained the battery. Also one low beam headlight was out then the other suddenly died as well. What is running with ignition off and why?

On these cars if 1 of the bulbs blow out then you will have to replace them both because they wont work. replace both headlight bulbs and they will be just fine

Low beam not working but high beam is-Pontiac Vibe 2005

I have heard it could be the Daylight Running Light module located under the dash above the brake pedal. The module controls both the daytime running lights and the low beam lights. The high beams are independent of this module.

I have the same problem. I am trying to buy a new module.

There should be separate relays for the low and high beams. located in the fuse box, probably under the hood. they look like plug-in small rectangular black boxes.

Check Hi beam bulbs they may both be burnt out, and check both fuse boxes. Headlights are offen on separate fuses Left/right so you don't end up with no lights at all
