SOURCE: 98 VW Beetle used-no radio code- I have radio & car serial #'s...

I assume you have this unlocked by now, but here's an answer for someone else for the future :-)
if you have the original radio that come with the car, look in the wheel well in the trunk, where the spare tire goes. (yep, you'll need to stand on your head). there is a sticker that will have the 4-digit code on it.
enter that into the radio.
I can't remember off the top of my head which one it is, but either the >> Scan or the am/fm button will be the "enter key"

SOURCE: 1999 vw beetle, no fuel going to engine, will not

First check to see if the fuse to the fuel pump is still intact. Fuse No. 28 in the fuse block on the end of the dask just inside the drivers door. Otherwise the fuel tank is located beneath the car by the rear axle and trunk.

You should have a diagram of your fuse block in Section 3.2 of your Owner's Manual.

SOURCE: Need to unlock 99 Beetle stereo!!

Hi, this is a common problem when people buy second hand cars and disconnect the battery to work on the car, they put the battery back on and find out the code needs putting in the stereo.

The problem is unless the original owners wrote it down in side the owners manual the only other option is take your car to the main dealers and they will then give you the code you need to take the car with you and maybe the log book they wont give this info out over the phone just in case the stereo has been stolen.

Their is no other way of getting this code as they dont give them out and as the codes are totally random their is no way of writing a program to hack these codes.

Sorry their is no easy fix for this but the upside is they wont charge you for giving you the code but you need to take the car with you then when they give you the code write it down in case you need it in the future or if you sold the car pass this info on to the new owner as they should have passed this on to you.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

SOURCE: need my stereo code for a 1999 vw passat i changed

hi
Take down the vin # and call your local dealer - they will give you the codes on proof of ownership. This is to keep people from benefiting from stealing your radio.

I changed the battery in my 1999 vw beetle and now I need a code for my radio and I do not have a code or know how to enter the code

Phone the dealer - they should supply you with the radio code free of charge. If not - and you can't find the radio code in any documentation, consider buying a code from Ebay.

It's quite easy to enter a radio code. Here's a link to show you how to do it:

1999 vw heater blower dont work

My daughter has a 99 Beetle GL and the A/C and fan went out. It's the A/C haeadunit that needed to be replaced. The switches short out and you have to replace the whole piece. VW charges about $225 for the part Hope that helps

Flasher

The relay is inside the hazard switch. I'm not sure where it is in your car, so one of the VW guys will hopefully chime in on this one. If it's like my Audi A4, the button is rectangular and above the stereo. I have to slide the stereo head unit out of the dash, reach in, and push up on the bottom rear of the switch to free it. Then I can pull it forward, unplug it, plug in a new one, reseat it, and reset my stereo in the dash. Your procedure is likely to be similar since Audi and VW are part of the same conglomerate.
