Thanks not sure if it is a factory setting how can I tell?

Also, had a test done on it and it status code was P306, which indicated that could be a problem with the spark plug, vacum lead or a fuel injection problem.....

    Any thoughts?

It could be hundred of things from forgetting to tighten fuel cap to having no oil in the crankcase. If its not flashing you should be ok to bring it to an AutoZone/etc where they will read your error code from the car's computer.

I have a 99 chevy lumina 3.1 engine it starts up great but it smell of fumes from exhaust pipes after a while it cuts off

The problem you describe is almost certainly a bad/stopped-up catalytic converter. Not fuel line, not trunk seals, not head gasket or anything else. The fuel line answer is just wrong. If your catalytic converter is bad or stopped up, you will also almost certainly need to replace the Oxygen sensor as well.

You didn't say it smells like rotten eggs or sulfur, but that is the most commonly-stated description...it isn't accurate; a bad converter smells like a bad converter. Most people find the odor similar to rotten eggs or sulfur. A clogged exhaust system will shut an engine off after a short time due to backpressure and excessive temperature buildup.

Your check engine light should also be on. Read any diagnostic codes the PCM has set. I'm fairly sure your problem is the catalytic converter...

I have a 2004 isuzu axiom. The check engine light, reduced power light, and abs light is on. The code reads p1239. i replaced the fuel pump and fuel pressure switch. It will not go over 25 mph. What could...

wow no engine stated, but the last car made is limited so you win this missing fact.
its a Rodeo , renamed for kicks.
and the last USA isuzu,,, after plant closed in Indiana.

p1239 from a real scan tool
autozone yelled one code over shoulder.a real shop did said thisyour $10 scan tool of fleabay showed only one code and lied?or a real scan tool, name it?
the first rule 1 of scanning is have the right tool, so you can see all codes, all federal codes P0xxx and all factory codes P1 p2. p3. and more......
missing codes is like being blind in one eye or worse.
no symptoms posted, just lights, my guess this is your 2nd anon post, and engine does lack power, but for got to say that. this post.

is the transmission slipping or is trans a manual stick?
1239

ill assume one code and use google to find it.
and usa car seem it is... or Costa Rica. 3.5 L 6VE1 V6 (gasoline)

ok engine nailed down. due to last car, and one engine there.

this code is an ISUZU only code , do not read other cars codes using this code or fail, (rule 2)

in fact P1 means just that, factory extended codes. as are P2,3.
car has a unique fuel pump controller box.
and 2 sensors. even more odd, that, for fuel pressure, not level.

so that means, what?
1: the pressure is wrong, (measure it? yet)
2: the sensor is failing (fibbing) if above passes test.
guess how you tell which. on my scan tool i can read all sensor live data. so this helps vastly

my book on the 3.5L sucks , it skips pressure spec.
i could not tell which sensor is upset, low or high, but low is a good guess. id prove that out first.

What causes a po300 code

no car , no engine, no year stated. but is 1996+ car.
(USA< all comments USA, it is after all, an USA forum)
50 to 100 things (parts) count all engine parts, and all EFI parts.
add em up, what do you get, (sore fingers)
P0300 if you read the factory FSM
states, (random cylinder misfire)
is that the only DTC code.
yes. (guess i will that)
so that implication bad combustion or fuel.
if car is really old (you never said) the spark can be bad
on cars with 1 coil, Mine has 6. a 2004 and 08

300s are
bad spark if car has a Distributor. if not , not.
if car has COPS or 2,3,4 coil packs, it not.
those modern cars have have many coils.
so that means it fueling or compression related.
1: IF COMPression drops from cam timing off to 80s
you will get p0300 codes.
2: if fueling is lean same , if fueling is rich same misfire.
do you have tools?
and meters and gauges, ? mech sets.?????
if not get car serviced,
if yes, say so.
and we can do simple tests to find P0300 misfirng

95 bonneville stalls then starts then in about 5 mins. Stops again. Replaced fuel pump a fue months back. Best luck was replacing relay for fuel pump. Now that doesn't help.

If your check engine light is on, find out the codes. I would have the fuel pressure checked again, first run the car until it stalls again and check it. I've installed pumps that went bad in as little as a couple days

2006 Saturn Relay Check Engine Light

PO455 is a large evaporative fuel leak. A bad fuel cap is ONE of the things that COULD be the problem. Fuel system cleaning only lightened your wallet. Reading your post is confusing. Did all this start AFTER the Valvoline Wallet Flushing? If so , they left something loose or disconnected. I would find a qualified repair shop to fix the problem, and if it has anything to do with what Valvoline did, make them pay the bill.
