Question about 1994 Hyundai Excel

I cannot remove the CDplayer from my 1999 TWIN CAM HYUNDAI EXCEL

I own a Hyundai Excel Twin Cam 1999, and it is currently fitted, correctly with an early model Pioneer SuperTuner IIID CD player. The cd player has been screwed into the factory frame that held the original tape player.

Unfortunately, as it is screwed from the side, i cannot remove the CD player unless i take out the center console.
I cannot take out the center console unless i unscrew and detach the fan/AC.
I cannot detach the AC because the screws holding it in are blocked by the CD player.

Is there a trick?

Try pulling it out, it should come out far enough to get at the screws. they got it in there without removing all the other stuff, so it has to come out. you may need to purchase a removel tool at a local parts store, there are several differant kinds so ask someone at the store to look at it. they should be able to tell you which one you need. they only cost a couple dollars.

double check all youre timing marks . loosten tentioner and adjust cam.then tighten chain .manually turn motor over twice then check timing marks again this is a little tricky sometimes because when you tighten the tentioner the cam will move. you have to have the chain in a spot to compensate for this movement.

You most certainly install a baby seat in it, but you will have to make sure that you have an accredited anchor bolt attached at the parcel shelf...there should be a blanking plug here to attach one

Correct way to align timing marks

hi -- the timing marks on a twin cam are tricky!! heres how- turn the motor over to tdc on the bottom pulley, this will align two marks on the lower cog-----now on the top cog,it has an obvious mark near the teeth-- well disregard this for now!! the cog has a hole in it,in one of the spokes, well this goes at 12 o,clock and lines up with a mark you will see on the housing! now if you are right you will see the mark near the teeth is at around 4,oclock---i just did one and it is right--cheers
