can you tell me where this is.

  • Jonah Oneal Oct 02, 2012

when you see code po700 what has happen the pcm has received message over the CCD bus from the transmission control module has detected a problem.you need a transmission shop to check it out transmission using a scanner, either 2 things causing the problem either transmission has a faulty lock up torque converter solenoid or the TCM HAS FAILED.

SOURCE: how to fix code 700 on my 2003 dodge Durango can't find the sensor

Well there is no sensor.
Code 700 is a general fault with the transmission control module.
It could be a problem with the module, or the wiring between the module and the transmission, or between the module and the engine computer. Usually there are more codes to go with a code 700.

Was going to work today and the durango sounded funny when it shifted in to 3rd gear it just reved up and never shifted . Now i'm getting a check engine light and error code p0700

Code 700 is a generic code for a problem with the transmission or the control module. Normally there are other codes for specific components.
You'll probably need a transmission shop to take a look.

1999 dodge durango heater core

It's a big job. Drain the coolant down, recover the freon in the ac system and disconnect the lines and heater hoses. Lower the steering column, remove the instrument panel assembly, remove the heater housing. Split the case halves on the housing and there you are. Usually around 500 to 700 dollars at a dealership.
