Thank you or your submitting ur problem to me.

here is the way you can lock, your bikes chain, its simple.

just imagine the use of ur PC's CD drive shaft.

n place similar equipment above d chain..where were u feel its comfortable.
it should contain ( 1 solid steel rod, a DC 12v motor [to drive the rod front n back], a microcontroller).

n then write a microcontroller program using C++ programming language, to check for password.

if the password entered is wrong then, the Micro-controller should push (give chrge for the motor to push the steel bar into the chain) like-- CD drive shaft comes out when eject botton is pressed ..thus locking the chain.

n for additional safety, place this entire setup in a box. then attach a magnetic door sensor, which sets up the alarm whenever the door is opened.

hence if any1 tries to remove this setup from ur bike, like the door sensor, ur bikes alram will b set...!!

n u can also connect this alarm to ur cell-phone, (wireless serive) which can be programmed usng the same micro controller to send u message through SMS, or emergency call. !!

if u need any further information, then please let me know, i will draw the block diagram of the entire control system.

thank you.

Automotive vehicles are increasingly being equipped with collision avoidance and warning systems for predicting the potential collision with an external object, such as another vehicle or a pedestrian. Upon detecting a potential collision, such systems typically initiate an action to avoid the collision and/or provide a warning to the vehicle operator. The aim is to design and develop a control system based on an automatic, intelligent and electronically controlled automotive braking system for automobiles is called as "INTELLIGET BRAKING SYSTEM". This Braking system consists of IR transmitter and receiver circuit and the vehicle. The IR sensor is used to detect the obstacle. There is any obstacle in the path, the IR sensor senses the obstacle and giving the control signal to the microcontroller, which in turn sends a signal to the motor to stop and also to the solenoid so as to stop the vehicle as programmed. This project facilitates electromagnetic braking system using solenoid. Here in fabrication module include a circular disc associated with a dc motor and a solenoid. Embedded system module includes micro controller with a solenoid and sensor

Can replacement of the timing chains cause the pass lock fail? should I try to reset the pats? can hear the relay for the fuel pump clicking but the pump isnt running. Is it the PATS?

What year an make ford do you have ? Ford pats systems stop the vehicle engine from cranking - disables starter relay ! An if having a anti theft problem the theft light will flash fast ! Depending on the year you could have a fuel pump driver module !

98 Cadillac deville won't start, anti theft system has locked my car. What do I do to avoid spending more money?

Unless the vehicle has an after-market anti-theft system (in which case you will have to have it removed), the anti-theft system can be reset by placing the key in the driver door and turning it towards "unlock," then holding it there for 10 seconds or more.
If someone installed an after-market anti-theft system on the vehicle, you're pretty much on your own to disable it.

How do I reset the ProLock system?

Hi Carol , do you mean PATS passive antitheft system ? Locked up your car ,do you mean it won't crank over an start ?
The passive anti-theft system uses radio frequency identification technology to deter a driveaway theft. Passive means that it does not require any activity from the user.
  • During each vehicle start sequence, the ignition key identification code is requested by the vehicle protection anti-theft electronics.
  • If the key's ID code has been programmed into the system, the powertrain control module (PCM) (12A650) is signaled to enable the vehicle to start.
  • If the key's ID code is not programmed into the system, or if no encoded key is detected, then the powertrain control module is signaled to disable the vehicle.
The passive anti-theft system communicates the state of the security system to the powertrain control module via the J-1850 communications network data link connector (DLC). The powertrain control modulebased on the communications from the passive anti-theft system, will determine if the vehicle's engine is enabled to start. The passive anti-theft system differs from the active anti-theft alarm system in that the passive anti-theft system enables/disables the vehicle from starting and only operates with the ignition switch in RUN/START position. The active anti-theft alarm system has perimeter protection capabilities and operates only with the ignition switch OFF. Refer to Section 13-11A for active anti-theft alarm system information.
Vehicle Disabling The passive anti-theft system will be activated and disable the vehicle from starting if any of the following conditions exist:
  • damaged encoded key
  • unprogrammed key
  • non-encoded key (key has no electronics)
  • wiring concern
  • transceiver concern
  • Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) control module concern
  • J-1850 Communications Network concern
  • Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

What is engine immobilizer

It's anti-theft security system, Nissan Vehicle Immobiliser System (NVIS)

The NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System will not allow the engine to start without the use of a registered key.

If the engine fails to start using a registered key (for example, when interference is caused by another registered key, an automated toll road device or automatic payment device on the key ring), restart the engine using the following procedures.

1. Leave the ignition switch placed in the ON position for approximately 5 seconds.

2. Place the ignition switch in the OFF or LOCK position and wait approximately 10 seconds.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2.

4. Restart the engine while holding the device (which may have caused the interference) separate from the registered key.

If the no start condition re-occurs, NISSAN recommends placing the registered key on a separate key ring to avoid interference from other devices.

Statement related to Section 15 of FCC Rules for NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System (CONT ASSY - IMMOBILIZER, ANT ASSY - IMMOBILIZER) This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules and RSS-210 of Industry Canada. Operation is subject to the following two conditions; (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.

Security indicator light

For vehicles without Intelligent Key: This light blinks whenever the ignition switch is placed in the LOCK, OFF or ACC position.

For vehicles with Intelligent Key: This light blinks when the ignition switch is placed in the LOCK position with the key removed from the ignition switch.

This function indicates the NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System is operational.

If the NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System is malfunctioning, the light will remain on while the ignition switch is placed in the ON position.

If the light still remains on and/or the engine will not start, see a NISSAN dealer for NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System service as soon as possible. Please bring all registered keys that you have when visiting your NISSAN dealer for service.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Anti theft activates while the car is running leaving me locked in the car

i dont think that these vehicles for this year automaticly lock themselves so you must be locking yourself in with the switch inside the vehicle ,Now is this antitheft device the factory immobilisor as i have never seen fault on our europeon models which makes me think that this is a after market device and as such if i am correct in this then i would get my side cutters out and remove the thing as this is the sort i fault i see a lot of on here with american cars ,i think its a viper auto start /alarm and they seem to give no end of problems judging by the questions. For the life of me i cannot understand why anyone would want to lock themselves in a car in case of an accident and someone outside couldnt get you out in a hurry ,But who am i to judge but our europeon models do not lock themselves and never give a problem with the alarm going off when driving in fact they are one of the better cars for not giving immobilisor problems ,the door lock with its peculiar rod at the back that breaks with great frequency is a pain but alarms ? never a problem

Hello, I have worked on Mercedes for the past 20+ years and I can't think of any way to do this easily. The shift lock is tied into your steering lock/ignition lock for safety and theft reasons.
I hope this helps.
