Question about 2002 Chrysler Town & Country

1 Answer

Mine was working fine in my 2002 Chrysler Town and Country and then a postal truck hit the front end of my car and all of a sudden the front blower motor stopped working but the rear is fine.

My hubby already checked all the fuses and they appear to be fine. He even removed the front blower fuse and put in in the rear and the rear still worked so the fuses appear to be fine. He pulled them all and tested them. I so appreciate your help on this.

Hi my name is Allen!

We can work together to fix your problem, even if it takes a few days, we will work on it until it is solve!

Here is what I need you to do first, if you have a test light, you need to check all the fuses.

1st-turn the key on, engine doesn't have to be running. with the test light find a good ground to clip it onto, then with the probe end touch it to one side of the fuse, then to the other side of the same fuse. The fuse should light up on both sides of the fuse, If it doesn't you need to replace that fuse.

NOTE: If you do not have a test light are know how to use one, drive you car to AutoZone or another auto parts store and ask them if they will check your fuses to see if one is blown.

Next; contact me here at FixYa, with what you have found. If all the fuses were good, then we will move on to the next repair procedure.

I'm honored to help, and we will work together until we have solved your problem!

Thats great, this is what I needed to know, here is how you fix your problem.

You will need a blower motor resister, you can buy it at the dealership.

NOTE: If you have Auto Temp it is call A/C Power module, the resister is for Manual A/C.

When you get this part, here is how you replace it, its very easy to replace.

Lower the glovebox and it is straight behind the box mounted on the side of the A/C Housing held on by 2 screws.

First unplug the connectors, then remove the 2 screws you will need a 5/16 socket, then pull it straight out and push the new one straight in and thats it.

Please don't forget to give me a rating after the repair is done!
