1 Answer

Hey all. i have a 1983 lincoln continental/mark vi signature series with the 302 in the carb fuel injection/ Auto/od/ problem is there is a mind-boggling drain on the battery within 5 minutes. Goes from a FULL charge to 11.1 on the richter scale in no time flat. Tested the alternator/it's fine replaced the external little box with four wires(or a plug-in) going to it on the firewall/ tightened belt on alternator/ replaceed all three battery cables/ replaced starter today/ replaced the starter solenoid and ......................here's my problem........ i lost the solenoid wiring and where to put what! Argh. Took them all off and just didn't think about it. started cleaning everything up to put back to gether and ...bam... went to put new one on and realized i don't have the wiring diagram for my 83 lincoln continental . anyone help me out?? thanks!

battery tests good, alternator tests good. have not checked the fuseable links yet. no voltmeter. Where does the ac fuse switch go? does it hook up to starter cable side of starter relay/other side/ or does it hook up to ground???

    Thanks again!

If it is a fuse it should go to the battery side. Only the starter should be on the other terminal
