The belt cant just up and get too tight,,,did the belt break...a pully maybe locked up and caused it to burn the belt off....waterpumps and ac compressors are known to do that...if the new belt is gripping well it may keep the engine from turning over....

After driving my renualt mageane for 25 minutes it strats with the smell of rubber then strats smokeing on the engine

Look at all the components the belt is turning. Something has stopped turning and is smoking the belt. Most likely the alternator, water pump and the tension and idler pulleys.

The fan on my 1998 durango will not work but the engine turns over could it be a spark plug

Your water pump is seized and will need to be replaced. The part behind the pulley that wont move is the water pump. It has probably been making a lot of noise for a while?

Started engine, heard a grinding noise & smoke

Sounds like one of the accessory pulleys locked up and smoked the serpentine belt. The air conditioning pump would be my first suspect, but grab all the pulleys and turn them. The problem pulley will probably be discolored, and have belt residue on or near it.

My steering has been tight, i was driving hope and i heard a noise then my truck started to sqeek and then there was smoke coming from my engnie. i made it home and looked what it could be and the belt...

Best guess it that your power steering pump has fail or that a power steering hose has burst, more likely the latter. The smoke and smell would be from the power steering fluid burning on the hot exhaust manifold. It is possible that the fluid also got on the brakes.
Your question is a bit unclear.
Inspect the engine. Is a belt broken? Look at the fluid level on the power steering pump.

My fan is not moving when i start my engine. It's the fan near the radiator?

Is the belt that goes to the fan pulley assembly loose or missing? Tighten or supply a belt.

If a belt is present and tight, is the pulley rotating with the belt or stationary? If stationary, then the fan pulley assembly bearing is defective.

Timing belt on 1996 mazda protege slips during startup

Hello, this to me sounds like your fan belt slipping (not timing belt). To adjust the fan belt you need to undo your bolt on the alternator, pull it tight onto the fan belt and while holding it tight do the bolt back up tightly. this will stop yoour fan belt from slipping. I hope this helps.

My 2004 Audi A4 1.8T just started running rough. At idle it cutting out and wont go over 20mph. Had the timing belt replaced 20,000 miles ago. Any ideas?

check the catylitic convertor, it may be rstricted disconect the exhaust down pipe from manifold and strat engine, if the problem goes, replace the unit.

Squeaky belt and battery light on now

+++ been told to fix blue smoke...piston rings gone .

Piston rings, valve seals are a good guess for cause of blue smoke. Engin oil additives for high-mileage engines can help the blue smoke problem... Pep Boys and the like -- many different products -- just make sure it's for stopping smoke, not cleaning engines...

+++ squealin....fan belt gone.

Has the alternator belt been tightened? If not, this could be causing both symptoms: dead battery & squealing

+++ battery light on...alternator gone.

Again, this could just be a loose belt, and most likely is the problem...

Smoke, smoke, smoke and alternator/fan belt shredded

If 1994 Suzuki equip with air condition then please check the A/C compressor clutch.

The compress clutch can lock up on a defect ai/c pump and cause the belt to smoke.

Please check for a fail a/c pump first and get back to me.

An fair A/C pump can be bypass via an a/c pump bypass pulley (as picture below)
