Well, i just bought a toyota corolla 91, i dont know if it's xl, xe or what, the owner can't tell it either, she was the second owner... anyway the engine is still in good running...

To find out the model, the easiest solution is to locate the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) located in several locations, the easiest being the dashboard and the driver side door post. You would then enter the VIN onto a site such as CARFAX, which would also detail any accidents etc. reported on the car. I would recommend a mechanic for your other problems. Good luck!

My friend bought a second hand kia sportage 4x4 2001 model. The radiadtor fan doesnt work. does this model have an electric fan or is there a fan belt that drives it. The car at the moment has an electric...

if previous owner bypassed the switch and hot wired the relay then he done it for a reason like its not working or the engine overheats ,make sure you have a 50% antifreeze coolant inside the rad and leave well alone ,what happens is you get people buy a new vehicle then they listen to bar room mechanics that know it all and the favourite one is to drain antifreeze in the summer so engine runs cooler ,what they do not know is that this causes the internal water jackets to corrode ,then when they get a problem they sell motor quick ,or they get a new company car every year .Yes these bar room know it alls live in every country and the the more they knock back the more know it all ,worst places? local brit clubs abroard where a stiff upper lip accent and slowly spoken means one is intelligent ,Trust me on this

I dont know how to pull the codes on a 1993 volvo

Volvo Code Retrieval Accessing Trouble Codes 89-93 models (and later non-turbo/non-OBDII models)

Fuel Codes Locate the diagnostic unit behind left strut tower and remove its cover.(see image) Connect selector cable to socket #2,which tests the fuel codes. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position(engine not running). Enter the diagnostic mode by pressing the push button on the diagnostic unit for at least 1 second, but not more than 3 seconds. The red LED light will start to flash, count the number of flashes in 3 flash intervals. The flashes will be seperated by 3 second intervals.Make note of all codes. If no codes are stored, the LED will flash 1-1-1,which means the fuel system is operating correctly.

Ignition Codes To access the ignition codes, follow the above procedure, but with the selector cable connected to the #6 socket on the diagnostic unit.
NOTE:Turbocharged models may have seperate codes for the turbo system and are accessse by hooking the selector cable to the #5 socket.

Volvo S90 1998, trying to find service/repair manual.

Here's the answer. Contact a Carquest Auto Parts store(worked there 13 years). They have a division known as WorldPac. They can get you what you need. It will be the best repair manual you could have. It will be a little higher than Chilton, but it will be worth it. And Worldpac can get you any part for your car and they're all OEM parts at 1/2-2/3 cheaper than the dealer, and they're Volvo parts. I'd go with them. Good Luck.

I bought second hand imported Volvo car to Nigeria but the radio/CD require code. The radio is manufactured by Mitsubishi Eletric S/No. V01610Y9181186H Please help me to decode this radio/CD

The only way to get this code is to bring it to a dealer and they can usually put the code in for free. You can try calling but bringing it in has the best chance of getting the code.

Hi mandy1966,
How do you know?.... The air bag is only supposed to deploy in the event of an accident.....On the other hand, if you mean that the air bag warning light, on the instrument panel does not turn off, you'll need to take the vehicle for a scan, to identify where the problem is.....
