If the car is manual than make sure you have it in 5th gear over 60 km/h and if it's automatic.. your on your own!
Hope this helps

I have a problem with my cruise control, I hear a clicking sound from the glove box area when I switch it on and the "cruise" light also lights up on my dash but I cant get it to work... ive tried a little...

The speed sensor or the cruise control module could be defective.
Also, a switch or switches in the steering wheel could be defective and there may have been clockspring failure.

2001 impreza Abs light on and cruise control not working

From what I have read the flashing cruse light is to get you to fix the problem. Any cel will throw the cruse light and cruse will not work. Get your abs checked out and cruse will work again when fixed.

Does my 1998 Grand Cherokee Limited 4.0L speedometer have to work in order for my cruise control to work. is there a way that i can bypass it to work

1st question, yes the spedometer has to work for the cruise to work or it has to at least get a signal from the speed sensor, if the problem is just the speedometer head then the cruise will still work, as a matter of fact that is how we test the system if when one of these come in the shop with an in-op speedometer we take them out and try the cruse if the cruse workes then we know the problem is just the speedometer head, if the cruse does not worn then it is a problem with the speed sensor or the control circuits for the speed sensor.

2nd question there is no way to bypass the the system to mke the cruise work yo dont have a speed sensor signal so the cruise has nothing to use a refrance in a way it thinks the car is not moving.

good luck, try replace the speed sensor in the transmission it might fix both problems.

Wher is the alternator on a 2002 mazda protege

Remove the cruise control diaphragm and take it out of the way to gain access from the top. Disconnect the battery negative to prevent shorts. Go in from underneath and take to finish the rest of the job. Disconnect the exhaust pipe donut connection and slide back the catback exhaust to buy room where u could slips the alternator out from underneath. Gonna have to disconnect the muffler hangers; there's four of them. Then its taking the step in reverse and put together time.

I need the specs for a 1990 mazda protege cruise control unit....it is no longer working trying to fix.

Mazda vehicles used both vacuum actuated and electric stepper motor type cruise control systems. The actuator, located in the engine compartment, will have a vacuum line and electrical wires connected to it if it is a vacuum model. Electric stepper motor type units will have no vacuum line connected to the actuator.

Auto has 23K and cruse stopped working. checked

I had the same problem with my 2003 santa fe. Do you have any brake lights out in back? Weird as it is, as soon as I fixed a burned out brake bulb, my cruise worked again. The only relation I can think of is that tapping the breaks causes cruise to turn off - so maybe a broken brake/tail light passes a singal to cruise control from some reason???

Check the air control hoses for the cruise control.

Cruse controll

Pull up on the brake pedal. If that does not work check your brake light bulbs (LED brake lights will also keep your cruise control form working). Finally check all of the fuses. This system needs at least 3 different fuses to work properly.
