Question about 2004 Honda CR-V
My friends Honda CR-V (2005 I believe) will not start. The lights come on so the battery seems to be ok. The fuel pump makes a noise when the key is first turned on so that seems to be ok. The engine does not turn over. Just nothing except the fuel pump. Everything has been working fine lately. Thanks
Yes, definitely check the wiring to the BAT terminal of the starter, check for an open or bad ground in the starter. The latter has to be done with the engine cranking.
Your problem is a little different. It sounds like a fuel delivery problem.
Check for a weak fuel pump (fuel pressure and fuel volume tests)
Check for a faulty fuel pressure regulator.
Check for a restricted fuel filter. (usually also a lack of power)
Check for a faulty fuel pump check valve.

Although I haven't heard of it happening so soon, it sounds to me like it's a bad starter. If the car is under warranty, I would recommend the dealer. If not, I would start with the starter, alternator, and then the spark plugs. It's just a little hard to tell without hearing what sounds it IS making.
