BLINKERS JUST STOPPED WORKING

96 honda accord
our blinks just stopped working

    I just had a starter replaced in my 96 Accord by a local repair shop. My husband drove the car home & I didn't drive it for about a week after it was repaired as we were busy with the holidays. When I drove it for the first time, I noticed the turn signals didn't work, but the hazards do. I have had trouble in the past with hazards staying on in cold weather (turned on in error due to their proximity to the rear-window defogger) and not being able to get them to turn off (only my 10 yr. old can manage to turn them off!)

Most of these cars have a short in the rear sockets. Here's a few other things you can check. If your hazard's don't work either?, check the flasher relay. If they do? then your rearview sockets are bad, cut them off from the wires, pick up another socket with wires from your nearest junkyard, splice in using two brand new bulbs and use the electronic connector Grease, the sell @ autozone.

Blinkers don,t work, not flasher or burnt bulb

I would say that the contact points in the blinker handle have had excessive current flow and they are burnt or bent so as not to make contact. Possible invest in a new indicator switch assy.

Have you checked to see if you have a blinker out? If you do, then thats your problem. If not, check your blinker fuses. Hope this helps, James Booth.

Your blinker fluid is low... NO No just kidding :) but actually your blinker solenoid is bad. Your local autozone or parts store will have one and will show you how to install it. Good luck

My blinnkers on my 96 chevy s-10 stopped blinking

Check for loose blinker relay/module.

=======

Take your time and check EVERY sockets for dual element or single element.

Dual elements socket has TWO contact dots.

A lot of folks pick up the single element bulb and place it into a dual element socket.

Take your time and check EVERY SINGLE sockets.

Clean the EVERY socket and bulb with dry cloth.
