This is an ea ford 89 model dual fuel, which has had fuel pump changed along with dizzy and spark plugs and yet the problem is still occuring. Was driving the car one morning and after 5 min of driving stopped at a set of traffic lights and the car just stalled so i cranked it and it started bt each time i put it in gear it stalled and now it wont start it cranks and you can smell fuel but it just wont start.

This is the stupidest reply I've ever seen. WHAT module?? A tail light module? A transmission module? A, Ignition module?? An International Space Station Module? I hope you don't work on cars for a living.

I have a ford falcon 2002 xr6 ute with vct tickford motorist just stoped while driving gave a miss fire I have replaced crank sensor module coil fuel pump fuel filter still wont run running very ruf

On my falcon the same thing happened changed dizzy, coil even got new spark plugs what it turned out to be was auxiliary shaft that turns the dizzy or the dizzy module if you got coil packs. You can't see down the dizzy hole because its under the inlet manifold so take photo with your phone and you might see little bits of metal The auxiliary shaft teeth on the dizzy end where worn out and folding over so it can't give the proper spark at right time so went to wreckers 20 bucks for another. ford says it can't happen but I know quite a few engines with same problem

2002ford exsplorer shuts of after five minutes and wont start unless you let it sit a while

Bad fuel filter is most likely. Especially if it will idle forever but only drive for 5 minutes and then stalls. Explorers have several fuel filters.

89 sidekick, solenoid clicks but car wont start

89, the dizzy loves to fail. it has a standalone dizzy until 1991.
so the ECU does not make spark on 1.6L , 1.3L is carb car.
the dizzy ignitor or VR devices like to fail hot.
check spark with it wont start bingo , bad dizzy, next?

Hi i have a 89 ea falcon i have a problem with the injectors not fireing a wont start, it has power going into the computor but not coming out to fire them . u can start it by turning the key on and...

I would be very interested in helping you, but I need some help understanding your problem. Fuel injectors do not fire. The spark plugs do that honor.

If you are not getting current to eh injector that is another matter altogether. Please try and let me know how the car is acting. Will not start? does it start but then shuts down? Can you run current to the injectors seperately and start the car. You might want to check with your electrical man and ask him what he did or did not do. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

I drive a 1997 Ford F-350. It stalls going down the road, seems to run out of gas. I changed the fuel filter and later the fuel pressure regulator. It does this on both tanks. Also will start right up. any...

I would imagine it would be either in the switch or the pump. Fords have had this problem for years. Every dual tank Ford I have ever heard of have had trouble. I Used to have an 84 that would do it. It was the switch in my case, but have heard of the pumps going out too. Good luck!!

89 F350 w/460 stalls when heats up

If fuel delivery isn't the issue then check fire. Fords of this era are famous for ignition modules acting goofy with heat. Works nice in the cold not so nice in the heat. Yes...like a Panda Bear. Change your module and you'll be off and running.

Engine turns but won't start

What year is the focus, And have you checked the ford recalls on the car? I know that when I owned my focus there was a recall with the fuel pump in the tank and i had somewhat of the same problem myself. If your only getting gas to only ONE spark plug, your issue probably lies somewhere in your fuel delivery system (i.e. Fuel pump, fuel filter etc. etc.). Which would also describe the " It stalls out then the engine won't start for along time again.". Let me know, I'll keep trying to troubleshoot with you. Good luck!
