Question about 2005 Mazda RX-8

2004 Rx8 won't start (Fuel Flood)

We have taken this car twice to the dealership becuase of not starting after a day or two sitting in the garage and their answer was because it was flooded. Now it's not starting again. How do we fix the problem with towing the car again to the Dealership? This is becoming a big pain for us.

Thanks Paul

That is a good answer but if it doesn't work we always pulled the fuel pump fuse from the fuse panel crank the engine for twenty seconds . Then wait five minutes replace the first and crank until it fires but never rest your fit on the gas pedal because it will always flood the engine Mazda rx7 had the same problems

2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Cranks but won't start!

It could be the fuel system.
It could either flooding or starving for fuel.
If injectors are fouled badly it will wet the plugs and not fire.
If plugs are pitted that makes it easier to flood. (check plug tip condition, check all plug wires and boots are good)

If it is starving -- fuel pump weak (going to fail).
Need to test fuel pump pressure.

I have tried the suggested ideas and my car will not get out of the park position. It starts up, but since I have AWD all of my wheels are locked. Is there something else inside of the hole on the drivers...

fuse 19 in the trunk is the only power source for this system. Check it.
The ground got the shift interlock in on one of the lower pillars.
If their are good and on tight then there are two types of systems. One that only has a brake switch on the pedal and the other that has a computer and a brake switch. You will need to test these units if the fuse is ok.

2005 mazda rx-8 automatic will not start

Does it actually crank? If so and doesnt start then its probably flooded. Been a problem with those cars since they came out but not to feel bad theres quite a few cars that flood easy do to certain sensors. If not turning over but just clicks then battery issue just keep in mind every time try to start and it doesnt that more fuel enters the system and doesnt burn off which means more flooding (to much fuel)

Remote key fob won'tprogram

1-insert and remove key from ignition two times

2-close and open driver door two times

3-insert and remove key once from ign.

4-close and open drvr door twice

5-insert key into ign.,then close driver door

6-turn key to on (not start) then off, twice this is rewrite mode, have all remotes to reprogram it will clear any lost remotes.

7-remove key from ignition, the door locks should cycle twice.if not start over.it may take a few tries.

8-press lock/unlock together and hold for a second

9-release,and press lock on remote, the door locks will cycle confirming program.continue to do other remotes you have, steps 8 and 9.if only one in possession, you are done. To end mode open door or insert key into ignition.

You'll need to follow the steps with no more than a 1-2 second delay between each step.. hope it works
