Question about 2005 Acura RL
I'm having some issue on my 05 RL's driver door sensor (as per the dealership). The car doesn't recognize the key and it won't unlock even by pressing the buttons on the remote. I unlocked the car using the actual key and manually started it by taking the built-in key out and using the physical key also. I've checked the battery of the car and the remote and it seems fine. Dealership thinks it's the sensor on the driver door and the cost to replace it is over $600(CAD). Any thoughts on this issue? Would you point me to the right direction? Thanks in advance. Try this, as silly as it sounds, drive your car slowly in a complete 360 degree circle three times around in a counter clockwise direction...it just might help your navigation system to find it's way again. Note: make sure the Nav. is on while you try the above.

You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio. It will require pulling apart your dash. Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.

I apologize if you do not have the manual/card that I mention below... the first time this happened to me, no one had told me that the card existed. So, MAYBE this could help you if you are in the same boat.
The 5-digit radio code is printed on a plastic card, that is inserted in a slot inside the front cover of your user's manual. I have also read that it is SOMETIMES printed under the hood of the car as well (although not on mine). If you don't have ANY of the above, you'll unfortunately have to see a dealer.
When you start the car, and the radio says CODE, all you do is key in the code numbers using
the radio presets buttons numbered 1-6 below the display.
