Scan for faults probably a back up sensor not working, the scan will point to which one(s) check for corroded wire harness left rear side of box near the bumper. Heated seats if the control button lights up while running then go off probably a grid burnt out in the seat cushion or the seat back if no lights then it points to control or wiring, may set a fault for this also.
Sorry for your troubles ,
Temperature Hand in dash reading NORMAL ?
Does it Turn Blue to Red if so is do you feel friction or restraint like your turning something rather than freewheeling (smooth fast turning) or Digital and or does it show that it should be warm and not cold ?
Does the TEMP change at all(even the least little bit could narrow the results down) when knob is turned?
POSSIBLE - The Actuator/Motor that switches the VENTS very well could be BAD , Temperature Switch / Climate Control Switch (hot to cold could be broke at the base and only allowing the knob to turn and not in the switch ) Thermostat may be stuck open (keeping the engine running cool and smooth but no heat , maybe just a slight TEMP change when switched from Cold to Hot ). The A/C Switch is pushed in or turned on or broke and is stuck ON
FIXES - 1st- Check FUSES - If Temp HAND Reads Normal it not your THERMOSTAT. - Change the Control Switch / Temp switch - Check A/C Button/Knob . AUTOZONE is my place of business they PRICE MATCH AS WELL!
Hope this Helps , Flaming Ratchets Auto Repair
Wait until the engine is cool and fill the radiator with anti-freeze. When the coolant level is to low then the heater will stop working and the engine will over heat. If your only checking the level of the coolant tank it could be wrong. If the radiator cap is faulty then it won't work properly. You need to take the radiator cap off ( while cool ) and make sure. Hope that helps
Cold on drivers side and heat on passengers side, actuators working properly and blend doors are moving. Heatertreater is for piece of plastic on actuator motor. I moved blend door by hand after disconnecting actuator and works fine, both sides freezing when moved in opposite direction.
dodge tends to run at about 200dg. i have a 97 with a 318 and this hs been its normal temp since it was new . if it is truly over heating and if the warepump is bad you shoul see water leaking from the bottom of pump . hope this is helpfull
