I need to know how to locate the external regulator for the alternator and where it is

The alternator is reglated by the Powertrain Control Module. (PCM) The PCM is mounted right next to the Power Distribution Center, which is mounted right next to the battery in the engine compartment.

The break lights are not working on my 1984 Ford Mustang 5.0. Where is the brake light fuse located?

Check them one at a time, replace the blown one, should be fixed. If it doesn't fix the problem, or you don't find a blown one, that wasn't the problem.
