One of the bulbs is probably out.

find and replace the bad bulb.

2000 taurus left turn signal flashes rapidly and the left rear turn signal lamp does not work. Does ford have burned out bulb sense circuit that would give this indication? The right side flashes normally.

Yes - the fast flashing is a warning that a bulb is burned out. Change the bulb (be careful to put it in the same as the old one as it probably is 2 bulbs in one , parking and turn/stop) and you should be fine.

Turn signal flashes repeatedly

Could be several things but generally this happens when one of the turn signal bulbs is burned out (front or back), especially if it is fast on one side (left vs right). Once the burned out bulb is replaced the flashing returns to normal.

Right front turn signal doesnt work but rear flashes fast. put new bulb in and does not fix the problem

Test the power & ground to the bulb socket with a multimeter. You have a bad connection or wire. The rear flashes faster because all of the power is going to one bulb and tripping the flasher quicker.

Check your fuses for blown and busted fuses. If so, replace them with new ones of the proper amperage.

2003 Ford Explorer Sport rear turn signal acting up

if it's only the rear turn signal that does this, check the plug where the bulb snaps in. if loose or bad connection to bulb, it will sometimes work and sometimes not. if its both the front and rear turn signal bulbs, could be the combination switch. these were common failures on fords
