Change the diode pack and the regulator on your altrenator

Your alternator is pushing too much of a charge to it, you may want to change the alternator as it can make the battery explode.

I'm having trouble locating my battery on the 2006 GL 450


if your car left hand drive please forward front passenger seat if your car right hand drive need to forward driver seat, then fully fold backrest to forward then you can see under the seat carpet have been cut by 3 side you have to fold that carpet to front, after that you can see the battery in it in this particular model very hard to replace battery and also risky some time need to remove seat, in your car have two batteries both sitting in under the seat and also, need to be check both batteries, you may need to get experience technicians hand to do that, some impotent control units and fuse boxes has fixed close to battery, when you going to replace the battery if get some thing wrong you may have to be loose lots of money if you do it by experience technician it's only jest one our job I would like to advise you to get it in to Mercedes dealer to do it after replace battery it's need to be check charging rate and normalize many electronic component and erase all fault codes this is the best way it's up to you. is this information helped you? please leave a comment.

My 2007 mercedes benz R350 battery drains everyday. Tried replacing the battery yet still the same problem. Please help


The alternator is unserviceable which doesn't keep the charging system going.When the battery is fully charged the vech will run and drive for a while until it drains the charge down in the battery because it isn't being replaced by the alternator......Hope this helps.

Car jerks with loud knock when shifting from park to drive


Ok the knock is your flex discs on the drive shaft are bad along with the carrier bearing. Replace before you get stranded or it comes loose.
Fuel distributor may need work if it is hard to start when warm, Replace OVP relay by battery also, its always an issue.

can you go through the trunk and open trunck from inside. or open hood and try to jump power to the starter hot eire and ground to engine turn key on and use remote to open trunk.......

Why does my 1985 mercedes 190E not restart when hot


It is a problem with the fuel pump relay behind the battery firewall. Replace this then you will be OK.

Undervoltage light came on while driving on mb c240- light is off now...whats up?


could be battery, or the regulator pack on the alternator is failing. needs diags to be sure.
Also how hot was it when the light was on? sometimes the alternators shut down if they get very hot.

I have a 02 mercedes c240, the battery dies every day, replaced battery and it keeps dying, i have to jump it off every time i drive it. please help


one of the problems could be , you have a bad drain on battery, check charging system,if you disconect battery and hook it back up does it ark if so check all elecrical components for drain

Vents blowing hot air while driving


hello I'm an M.B. tech, sorry I thought I sent this yesterday but it is not in my solution box. If your vehicle is actually blowing hot air and not just ambient ait through the vents the only reason this could be is that coolant is entering the heater core all the time. Mercedes had 2 ways of doing this from that era. The earlier version had a vacuum water valve against the rear firewall. The other version had an electric valve called a mono valve by the battery tray. I would think it would be very likley to knock of a vacuum line doing an oil change but most likley you would have other problems as well. The water valve had a red vac, line going to it. Your vehicle probably has the electrical valve which is ublikley to get damaged during an oil change. most likley the diaphram is ruptured. There are 4 slooted screws on top of the valve. If you remove those screws you will gain access to the insert(plunger for solonoid). Take the rubber seal and stretch it out. Take a close look for tiny tear in seal. It is a very common problem with the monovalve type system. You can replace just the insert and it saves alot of money as compared to the price of the monovalve. hope this is helpful.

My 1994 Mercedes E class 300 Diesel there is no heat


Check your fuses first.Does the temperature gauge read normal operating temperature (at least 80 degrees Celsius) if not replace your thermostat.  Does the car have any heat while driving at higher RPM's? If so then you have a bad circulation pump. There is also a hot water valve (mono valve) that could be stuck in the closed position and not letting any hot water flow to the heater core.
