Question about 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
Went to start the car yesterday, and it didn't start. Got a jump, got started and made it home. Drove 2 hrs, last 5 mins charging system failure light appeared. Shut it off and immediately tried re-starting it. No luck. Tried jumping it today, but it only clicks. Dash lights, head lights, radio, etc all work. Bad wire, bad solenoid, or something else?
Check battery terminals make sure they are not corroded and that the are tightly secured. If all is good the battery is at fault. Replace battery and then have charging system checked to make sure the alternator is working fine. Or you can remove the battery and have it load tested a t an Auto_zone for free.
