Probly old gas in tank corroded the fuel system. Nevr leave fuel in car for xtended time. Specially ethanolblend. May need pro cleaning. Try an amsoil product or an outboard cleaner first
It's probably dieseling and chugging when turning off. You may need a timing chand and gears or an ignition switch. Being a FORD, it's probably the timing. Did you try to loosten and adjust the distributor? This may help.
First thing is are the wheels grabbing, you will need to drive and see if they are grabbing and then jack one wheel at a time and see which one is grabbing and go from there it could be brake hose or e-brake cable but first pinpoint the wheel or wheels. you said they are locking which ones front or rear?
timing chain runs in oil and when it wears it clatters ,often its the adjuster needs changing only ,while its running ok leave well alone and do not look for problems that are not their ,change the oil every 6000miles with a oil filter every third oil change use the cheapest oil you can buy from a supermarket i prefer a diesel/petrol type oil of say 10/40 or 20/50 ,this will keep the inside of the engine clean and then i think it will run for ever without any problems .well i was trying to scan my alldata book on how to reset the service light but it seems to have locked up and i thionk i will need to restart computer ,did you get the four wires the right way around when you chande the O2 sensor
its best to change oil and filter at the same time.....its like when you make coffee in the morning...do you chande the filter every morning or do you put new coffee in an old filter..lol
