Adjust the switch for the ignition lockout circuit closer to your brake pedal under your dash or further away, as the case may be.

Brake lights work, but 2001 Ford ranger will not come out of Park.

The shift actuator releases the shifter lock when the brakes are applied, if the actuator is faulty it will not release the shifter. You can test the actuator using a test light to make sure that it's getting a 12V input when the brakes are applied, if so then look to see if the actuator is moving. If you have a 12V input but no movement then you can remove the actuator and us a volt ohm meter to test the Actuator or a 12V battery. This can also be removed but i do not suggest this! It is a great safety feature.

Need a full brake line diagram for 1992 ford

Too many variables here. Is there fluid in the master cylinder in the rear brake portion? Does a brake warning light come on when the brakes are applied? Is the pedal solid when braking or does it feel spongy? You could have a problem with the metering or proportioning valve. Since brakes are a safety item I suggest you check with one of the shops that offers free brake inspections.

Brakes not working

You need to adjust the rear brakes and you might have to bleed them out.

Rear wheel brakes lock up

It could be a couple of things..Either you have a fluid leak and its getting on the brake pads making them grab or it could be the abs system itself.. There is a speed sensor on the rear axle which also controls the abs.. That can be changed easily and isnt too expensive.. Kip
