Just took my 03 Grand Limited in today due to same problems. I was advised that 3 of my interior flaps had broken, one of which is blocking the flow of air into the interior of car. They will have to remove the entire dash to repair When asked how they broke he advised they are only plastic . Cost to repair 904.00, the look on my face, priceless. Although I must say this is the first problem I have had with my Jeep and I have had it over 6 yrs. I was hoping it was just a loose hose. Good luck, hope yours is something simple.

This is a vacuum problem. Look under the hood while the car is running and listen for a hissing sound. There could be a vacuum line that came off by the passenger side firewall.

What is a blender/ it is suposed to a part of the heater area

The "blender" would refer to the blend actuators that change the flow of air from floor to vent to defrost or combinations. Properly working blend doors will allow you to direct air to the dash vents, the floor, the defroster, the floor and defroster or the floor and dash vents. If it is not working the heater will still work but you will hae no control oer where the air flows.

Fan selector does not work

there is a vacuum leak in the vent system... look under the dash and you will see the vacuum hoses ..listen for a leak... also near the brake booster in the engine compartment you will see a plastic cannister about the size of a film cannister... most likely white... that may be unhooked or need replacement.

2001 Grand Cherokee blower goes to defrost under acceleration

You have a vacuum leak. Look under the dash and check the placement of the vacuum hoses that activate the vent doors. One or more may have slipped or may be cracked.
