Your IOD fuse is blown, it is under the hood in the fuse box, most likely in a yellow plastic case

Sounds like you have a short or a loose connection to the battery. Check your cables and fuses.

Ok, did all this start happening after you installed the stereo>?

Ok, it sounds like you have a short somewhere. And because it works when the engine is on but not when off will make it easier for the mechanic. Call your local garage and explain it to him, he should be able to track it down quickly. He can just plug the car in to the computer and get answers.

This would be just a guess but this happen to me a few years back. your wiring harness that goes to the computer of the care may be getting pinched. The wiring harness goes to the computer of the car. mine was being pinches because I had a broken motor mount. Save yourself A Lot of headaches and have it service by a car dealership.

ecm goes bad it will go in limp mode, vechicle will run poorly check engine light will stay on vechicle wont start.you need to use a code scanner check for ecm fault code, if check engine light not turning on when you start vechicle could have blowed ecm fuse or wiring problem, could have loose connection at ecm electrical connector or ecm getting poor ground but first check for a defective ecm using a code scanner.

did you replace the switch or did you replace the ingnition cylinder (cylinder is the part the key goes in)the switch is what controls the start acc and keeps the car or truck running

You may need a new thermostat, and you want to have your timing checked. If this has been a gradual progression then I would go with the timing. You may also have a failing water pump impellor.

You need to re-set the radio security code. A dealer can help you with this. Don't blame the TOW truck driver... this happens any time you loose battery charge, or replace battery.

Electrical problem

Sounds more like electronic ignition switch. Coil or voltage regulator would display loss of power during acceleration, power surges (fuses blown).
