You didn hook up the hot at all times wire, or memory wire, its usually yellow on aftermarket stereos and goes to the batt. a way to find that wire is to pull the stereo, leave everything off, and check wires for voltage. once you find one with volts when key is off, just hook the wire up

SOURCE: factory stereo code

Factory radio codes are an anti-theft deterrent, they are unique to each radio and car serial number, in order to get the code the dealer will have to access the manufacturers data base, you will need to pull the radio and record the radio model number and the serial number of the chassis of the radio and take it to the dealer, they will not in most cases give the info out over the phone, this would defeat the whole purpose of the code.

you have to get the cable that conects your factory deck harness to the aftermarket deck, and that will allow you to use your factory speakers and amp, the wire harness is availiable at canadian tire or any stereo shop

SOURCE: My 2002 Jeep grand cherokee radiator fan wont come

You need to check the temperature sending unit and the relay. Relay is below and behind the r/f headlight. Temp sender sends info to the computer that then sends ground to relay which then turns on fans.
You can use a toggle but if you forget to turn it on it may cost you an engine. If you must, I'm sure you can get a sensor and relay for an aftermarket fan and use it on yours.

My 01 civic wont keep memory everytime i turn it off it resets the clock and stereo

It sounds like the keep alive wire has either become disconnected or it was never hooked up. In most cases it is a yellow cable on aftermarket car stereos

Volkswagen beetle elecrical problems

most of the constant power for the wires are use for the memory system of ur stereo eg. for the clock memory, am/fm preset station memory (custom setting of the user). even when u turn off the key, the stereo will not reset to it's default settings.

Why does my radio code keep comming on?

It sounds like your "memory" power input to the stereo is not working the way it should. While the main power for the radio comes from the ignition, the memory power comes directly from the battery. This is the connection that supplies the radio with constant power so it does not forget settings and such.
http://www.bcae1.com/headunit.htm

Consult a local car audio specialist (or dealer) to find out which connection it is. After that, pull the stereo out and check for voltage from the connection. Sometimes just resetting a connection will fix a problem as well, so if it has voltage, plug it back in and give it another whirl.

Stereo wont hold memory

Look for a second power wire that needs to be hooked up. There is one wire that is switched (runs from the ignition) and another that is direct from the battery. You can test for this with a light or a meter. Typically the always hot wire will include an in-line fuse to prevent fires in the event of a short... Hope this helps...;-)

1990 honda civic runs but when the lights are on engin stalls

You need to put the blower motor back on the factory connection because it runs through a relay to keep the amperage within its factory settings. without it you will continue to drain your charging system as well as damage your sytem if not. If you can locate the original factory wiring for the stereo, it would be best to get power from that source because it is run through the ignition system which shuts off the power when you turn the engine off and remove the key from the ignition. I dont know if your running an amp for your stereo but that can also drain your battery as well as damage your charging system if not properly installed. You may need to seek a qualified individual to help resolve these problems if you are unable to do so yourself. Your cars electrical and charging system was designed specifically for each component within your vehicle and should not be modified unless you have someone qualified to do so. hope you can fix your problem!
