1999  F150 V6 4.2   brake lights won't work. All other lights work including turn signals, flashers, back up, etc.  Replaced fuse # 6  in the power box under the hood (15 amp) and fuse # 13  under the dash and still no luck.
    Any suggestions ?

The fuse is located in the passenger compartment fuse box, behind a panel to the left of the steering column.

FUSE #13 20A Stop Lamp Switch (Lamps), Turn/Hazard
Flasher, Speed Control Module

Here is a link to your owners manual, this is where I got the fuse info.

1999 Ford f150 V8 4.6 Fuel pump does not run up. Where is the relay and or fuse? How do I check the pump?

Did you check the fuel inertia switch ?

From the owners manual pg 155 :
Engine compartment :
Fuse # 10 - Fuel Pump
Fuse # 18 - Fuel injectors

pg 156
Fuel pump relay relay #302
You can swap the fuel pump relay with one of the trailer tow adapter relays to test with.

You can always jumper the normally open contacts in the relay socket ( shown as the red line below ) :

You can check with timing light. If the timing is off there will be excessive pinging or knocking sounds.

The fuse to check in the engine compartment fuse panel is # 13.

If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :

1999 ford f150 brake light fuse blows without puting brakes on

You have a direct short to ground. You need to find where the wire has rubbed thru and is touching metal. Check the sockets for the bulbs as they are very prone to corrosion and breakage.

Pass. side trailer turn and brake lights out 1999 ford explorer

if your vehicle lights are working all the fuses will be good. follow the cable from the towing socket on your vehicle , it will most likely go behind one of the rear lights to connect into your cars system,
check your tester where the cables join and you should find the problem. hope this helps.

1999 f150 turn signals and brake lights out. High mast still work

The signal lights work through a relay but the brake lights work through the signal switch, if both are out I think you'll find the problem is the signal switch.
