I would suspect your starter solenoid as the culprit, at least thats the first thing I wold check. Have some try and crank it while you listen to your solenoid closely from under the hood.

No. The jeep moves when starting the engine as if the clutch isn't fully engaged, but only then. Sitting idle with the clutch depressed it is fine.

2005 Jeep Wrangler is starting without pushing in the clutch, what could be the problem?

the clutch start switch is the most likely problem. it is just a switch that closes once the pedal is depressed and allows the starter to turn over. it is a safety feature, so that if the car is in gear and you hit the key, it doesn't take off on you.

Clutch pedal, starter, ignition... where is the safety relay for the clutch pedal depression to allow start? 1994 Jeep YJ 4.0 this has happened twice

If you find the switch, you can temporarily jump across it, 'till you get a new one. When you go to buy it you are looking for a clutch switch.
Neutral switches are found on automatic trans vehicles. If you jump it out, be VERY careful to make sure you start in neutral with the clutch depressed as without the switch, it will start in any gear even with the clutch engaged.

Engine sputters when clutch/brake engaged; revs when brake only engaged

check under dash where pedals are as there may be wiring there that the pedals are touching and shorting out

Check your battery status in the morning. Sounds like you have a drain, or a weak battery which will cause the problem.

yes that fuse is intended to bypass the clutch safety switch indefinitely. If theres a good fuse in there it will bypass and not cause any problem whatsoever..........(you probably already know this ****........)just make sure the transmission is in neutral or you have the clutch pressed down so the jeep doesnt lurch when you turn the key
