2009 Hyundai Genesis - Nav map zooms in and out by itself

After putting about 2k miles on my Genesis, I noticed that when I am driving, the zoom level of the navigation map changes all by itself. It doesn't do this all the time, but when it happens, it is very anoying. It is like someone is turning the controller knob back and forth. The knob looks ok, and it works when I use it for any functions. I haven't brought it into the dealer yet - I hate going in with an a problem that only happens no and then. I'm waiting for the problem to go away or get worse.

My problem with the NAV system zooming in and out all by itself was fixed by the dealer. It seems there was an electrical short in the controller knob (the round knob you use to navigate the screen with). They had my car for two days, running it now and then, waiting for the problem to occur. It finally did, and then they replaced the controller knob. It has been working fine ever since.

That is all I suggest that you do, with a Warranty covered Vehicle. Tolerate the inconvenience, until the system eventually fails.

What is the halfway point between branford Connecticut abs Annapolis Maryland?

Which route?

Go here , enter both cites, and it'll show you a preferred route and let you change to alternate routes. When you've picked your route, notice the miles between cities. Now pick a point about halfway between them and note the miles to that point, Adjust the point as necessary to find halfway.

Engine burning oil

you should be checking the Oil Level more often than 5K miles but my 2009 Toyota Corolla burns oil (Not a LEAK), just consumes oil (1 Quart every 2K miles). It has done this since it was Brand New and Toyota said (ADD MORE OIL).... So that is what we have done. Watch the level and make sure you add more.

Burping noise from gas cap, and fuel irregularity once below 1/4 tank

theres two plugs on the fuel pump. one is for pump and one is for gauge if you take pump out of tank and put a volt meter on the two outer prongs in plug then the two inner two of them will read the same when yoou move the level up and down and when you put meter on other two it will change when you move level or the level part of pump isnt working correctly. my old tahoe did that and when it would get to a 1/4 of a tank i knew it was almost out of gas.

1994 corolla doesnt stay idled while driving and cuts off

I had the exact same problem with my 1994 Carolla. It was the MAP sensor needing to be replaced, cost me about two-hundred. The car has been running fine ever since. (That was over 2K miles ago).

My Santa Fe loses exceleration, if you push on gas, it will not go any faster, usually about 20 miles. When diagnosed got code p2135. I was told there was a recall by hyundai for this. Is this right

Hello, There is not a recall for this issue, but there is a TSB (technical safety bulletin) by Hyundai for this issue that you are having with your vehicle for the code that was set. What this consists of is replacement of the throttle position sensor and performing an ECU software upgrade for the vehicles computer. The process usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour to perform at a Hyundai service department. If you are the original owner of the vehicle or it has less than 60,000 miles, this repair procedure is no cost to the owner. Hope this info helps. Gabe

I have a 2005 malibu i had the tranmission flused in 2008. I had an oil change yesterday the guy said its black now and to have it changed. I was also told by a friend that this can harm my car by doing a...

The best thing to do is check double check it yourself. Run the car up to normal operating temp first. Pull the transmission dipstick, with the car running, and look at the fluid. Check the level while you are at it. The fluid should look pinkish and should smell like oil. If it is more brown than pink or smells burnt then it should be changed. It doesn't need to be flushed.
GM recommends changing it every 100,000 miles except under hard driving, so if you chang3d it a couple years ago you should be alright unless you notice something wrong when you checvk it yourself. ope this helps.

How often should i change my oil in my 2008 Lincoln Navigator?

The people that make replacement engines say 6000 to 7500 miles. I never let any vehicle go over 4500 and usually 4000. There is a time thing too, 4 months to 6 months.

If you drive 3000 miles in a 2 week vacation its different than 3000 in 4 months of stop and go driving. I have owned over 55 vehicles, mostly used and have never had any engine failure and regularly put 100,000 miles of my own miles on used vehicles.
I use Valvoline, GTW, and sometimes Havoline.
