My ex stole my keys to my tundra! I need to change the locks and would like to save $ and do it myself. I can't seem to find replacement locks anywhere...even ebay. Any suggestions?
A locksmith can rekey the locks to accept a different key. This would be much cheaper then buying and replacing all the cylinders.
You trucks ignition lock may have whats called an imobilizer Its set to your present key and if you change the key code you would need to buy imoblizer keys from the dealer and have them programed. Little pricey. Perhaps you could just change the codes on the doors and leave the ign key alone. Also you may want to change your wireless entry fobs to new ones.
