Question about 1986 Isuzu Trooper

No power no where

1986 isuzu trooper II 2.2 liter 4cyl 5 spd.....My trooper has no dash or accessories...tried starting it like the mechanic using the starter relay (crossing two wires)...think i might have fried something else (like the batter)....was fine before i did that....pop started....was not patient enough to put push button starter in..... and now, nothing.....

I would say your spot on you have indeed fried the wires so i wish you luck/ you are going to trace them back,i would follow the wires from the battry to starter first, then out .Follow the power cables mybe you will get out light with this power surge.adrian;;;

How to replace starter on 1986 isuzu trooper II?

remove the front right wheel and pull off the rubber cover to expose the lower side of the engine compartment. You will be able to see the starter under the manifold. Might also need to climb under to get access to the two nuts and bolts. Not too easy but can be done by yourself. Be sure to disconnect the battery first!! good luck

TYPE OF TRANSMISSION FLUID NEEDED FOR 97 CHEVY CAVALIER AND HOW MUCH

You can use Dexron II or Dexron III, but you can also use the improved Dexron VI which replaces both the afore mentioned fluids. Use Dexron VI as it is an improvment. Caution: Do not overfill. Check fluid level according to the instructions in your owner's manual and make sure the car is parked on a level surface or you will get a false reading.
