Question about 2005 Ford Focus

How to get the tail lights changed?

I can get one screw and one wing-nut off, but can't locate the third screw in order to get the tail light changed. Anyone know where the 3rd screw is located?

This is absolutely ridiculous!! I've got the same problem. Removed one screw on the hatch and the wing-nut inside the hatch. The light will not come off no matter how hard I pull. What is the deal???????

I just made the change on a 2005 ZX-5. Removing the screw on side and the big plastic "wing nut" on the inside was all that was necessary to remove the taillight assembly. I had to jiggle it a lot because one other clip had to be pulled out. It was on the outer edge of the assembly. I was a bit concerned that I might break something but it all worked out.
A 1/3rd turn of the bulb holder allowed it to be removed. I had everything back together in about 2 minutes.

Is there a trick to getting to the rear turn signal on a 2003 ford focus hatchback. I had removed the screw to the lens cover but I still cannot gain access to the turn signal bulb to replace it.

Replacing tail/brake/backup lights and turn signal bulbs (coupe)

1. Make sure the headlamp control

is in the OFF position and then

open the hatchback.

2. From inside the luggage

compartment remove the wing nut

of the rear light assembly cover.

3. Using a Phillips screw driver

remove the screw. The lamp is still

retained by a spring loaded clip.

Remove by gently pulling out the

light housing.

4. Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise as far as possible and pull it

out.

5. Pull the bulb straight out of the socket.

Install in reverse order.

I own a 1999 Plymouth Breeze - both tail lights are out. I was going to replace the bulbs on the tail lights but I do not know how to replace them. If it's not the bulbs, then I will replace the fuse for...

Open trunk. Remove the threaded wing nuts on each tail light assembly. With the wing nuts off, pull the entire assembly out to exposed the sockets.

Need to know how to change break light bulb

Open the truck & remove philips head screw that is located to the left of the tail light housing in the trunk lid weatherstripping housing area. Next unscrew the trunk lining screw to fold back the trunk lining to get at the two plastic wing nuts that hold the light housing.

Unscrew these two wing nuts and slide the housing out, then remove the bulbs and replace. Bulbs come out similarly to how you'd replace the front headlight bulbs (unplug, twist counter-clockwise to unlock and remove old bulb, replace with new bulb and turn clockwise to lock, plug back in).

How do I change out tail light on a 2007 chevy cobalt.

You can probably access the light from the trunk.
1) Remove the two screws revealed when the trunk lid is opened.
2) Unscrew upper cargo net anchor, you will see 3 or 4 wing nuts.
3) Pull back carpet wall, remove nut on threaded rod.
